OF MICE AND MEN AT EPAC
Of Mice and Men is a play adapted from John Steinbeck’s 1937 novel of the same name. The play earned the 1938 New York Drama Critics’ Circle Best Play and was revived on Broadway in 2014. It tells the story of two displaced migrant ranch workers, who move from place to place in California in search of new job opportunities during the Great Depression in the United States. Required reading in many schools, Of Mice and Men has been a frequent target of censors for vulgarity and what some consider offensive and racist language; consequently, it appears on the American Library Association’s list of the Most Challenged Books of 21st Century. Dallas Elwood is the director of EPAC’s production, with assistant direction by Matthew Gaska. Performances are April 1st–3rd at EPAC’s Robert Eckert Theatre, 102 Washington Avenue in Endicott. Curtain is Friday and Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors (age 65 & over) and children (age 12 & under) and are available by calling EPAC at (607) 785-8903 or online at endicottarts.com.
