ALEXANDER’S CAFÉ KEEPS IT FRESH

Speaking of cafés and bistros, we must mention a couple of sandwich-slinging spots that have slipped under our radar, until now. We don’t know what we were waiting for, but it’s time we sing the praises of Alexander’s Café. Their sandwiches are amazing – we tried the W.H. Lane - their version of a cheesesteak, and we plan on going back soon for another one. They just revamped their menu, and they’ll have outdoor seating as the weather warms. Everything is made fresh, from the house-cooked roast beef (served with roasted garlic aioli and a spinach-feta blend on their 123 Court sandwich) to their milkshakes, blended in an old-school mixer. The chef recommends the banana Nutella one, and we don’t need convincing.

Alexander’s Café is located at 34 Chenango Street in Downtown Binghamton. They are open M-F, 8am-7pm, and Saturday from 8am-2pm. Free limited downtown delivery, $10 min.
