MILTON GLASER AT BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY ART MUSEUM

The work of graphic designer/illustrator Milton Glaser is featured in two of the BU galleries during the month of April. Known as the designer of the iconic I Love NY logo and Bob Dylan’s psychedelic album cover, these exhibits reveal a wider range of the artist’s vision. The Main Gallery exhibit, Milton Glaser: Modulated Patterns, includes sketches, prints, and designs that express the Glaser’s vision through landscapes and images that celebrate the work of modern artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Cezanne, and Klimt. In the Mezzanine Gallery, The Piero Project consists of 37 watercolors created as a tribute to the Italian Renaissance artist Piero Della Francesca. An in-depth lecture on the artist and his work will be presented on April 27th at 5pm by noted artist/scholar Steven Brower. The show runs through May 2oth.

The museum is located on the campus of Binghamton University, 4400 Vestal Parkway East, in Binghamton. Normal hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12-4pm, and Thursday from 12-7pm. The museum is closed during national holidays and whenever the university is closed. All events are free and open to the public.
