BCAC SHOWS OFF COLLECTOR’S ITEMS

The 8th Annual Collectors Items: Leading by Example exhibit opens on First Friday June 2nd with a public reception from 6-9pm. BCAC President Susan Appe joins Lynne Lacey and other Board Members in showcasing their growing private art collections, which include pieces from all over the world as well as works by local artists. Additionally, pieces by local artists such as board member Thorne Arnold, Orazio Salati, and Ernestine Bucking will be on display. The opening reception features live music by Andru Bemis (folk singer, songwriter, musician) from 6-6:30pm and again from 7-7:45pm, the Valley Harmony Quartet (Mike Sheldon, George Lohmann, Randy Kerr, and J. Ladd Yost) from 6:30-7pm, and singer-songwriter Brittany Rose at 8pm. In a second exhibit, Binghamton Boys & Girls Club members present Exploring Documentary Photography, in which they tell their stories by capturing everyday moments on film. Award presentations for this show, which runs through June 30th, take place at 6pm on First Friday.
