OWEGO STRAWBERRY FEST
It’s that time of year: strawberry season! Well, it has been for some weeks now, but nothing makes it official quite like the Owego Strawberry Festival. For two days, everyone in Downtown Owego can partake in tons of live music, beer and wine, vendors of all kinds, a 5K race, a parade, and strawberry shortcake, of course. This is the kind of celebration that makes us glad to live so close to Owego and all its charm. And while we’re there, Downtown Owego hosts the Farm to Fork summer market on Thursday evenings from mid-June to September. So, when the strawberries are all gone, we still get to enjoy fresh bread, eggs, honey, meats, and locally grown produce! Come for the strawberries, stay for all the other good stuff.
The 37th Annual “Strawberry Memories” Strawberry Festival takes place at the Owego Historic Marketplace on Friday, June 16th from 5-10pm, and Saturday, June 17th from 9am-5pm. Visit owego.org/strawberry-festival for more information.
