EPAC REPRODUCES THE PRODUCERS

Endicott Performing Arts Center reprises one of its most popular productions ever, Mel Brooks’ musical The Producers. Its original stage production was one of the greatest successes in Broadway history, winning an unprecedented 12 Tony Awards. Brooks adapted his own 1967 cult-film comedy of the same title about a pair of Broadway producers who plot to make a fortune by bilking their investors on a deliberately terrible musical called Springtime for Hitler. This EPAC Repertory Co. production is directed by Patrick Foti. Musical direction is by Jeffery Wahl who, just this past October, was in New York City directing the pit orchestra for Wicked and will conduct a full twelve-piece pit orchestra for this EPAC production. Choreography is by Andrew Shaul. The cast of local talent includes Matt Gaska as Max Bialystock, Jamie Cook as Leo Bloom, Jana Kucera (who also collaborated on the costumes) as Ulla, Vito Longo as Franz Liebkind, Greg Williams as Roger DeBris, and Ian Cook as Carmen Ghia.

The musical runs November 9 through 12 at the Endicott Performing Arts Center, 102 Washington Avenue in Endicott. Evening performances are at 8pm, Sunday matinee is 3pm. Cost is $20 for general admission; $18 for seniors 65 & over and children 12 & under. To purchase tickets or for more information visit endicottarts.com or call (607) 785-8903.
