STUDENT EXPERMENTAL FILM FESTVAL

SEFF Binghamton (Dec 1 & 2) – The eighth annual Student Experimental Film Festival celebrates the Binghamton University

cinema department’s experimental roots. The festival is curated by BU students enrolled in Curating Film and Video, an

undergraduate course taught by Tomonari Nishikawa. It will showcase short films created by college students from all around the country, in the formats of video, 16mm, and 18mm film.

Binghamton University’s cinema department was founded in 1969 by Ken Jacobs and Larry Gottheim and has become a hub of experimental filmmaking, having harbored a number of acclaimed experimental film and video makers. The two-day festival is an opportunity to shine the light on BU’s role in experimental filmmaking and engage the community and students alike.

Admission is free and location is to be determined. When available, it will be found on SEFF’s Facebook page, SEFF Binghamton: Student Experimental Film Festival in Binghamton.
