ART AND ALBUMS AT CAROL’S COFFEE & ART BAR
Artist of the month Rachel Moses works in Endicott under the name RedMar Photography: Mar meaning sea in Spanish, and Red Sea in honor of her last name. Owego born and raised, she majored in video production and advertising at SUNY Cortland, discovering her passion for photography while studying in Spain and backpacking through Europe. “Capturing an image was the closest way of freezing time and revisiting the scenery whenever I pleased,” says Moses. Having returned home to teach Spanish, she continues her photographic work by capturing precious moments in time for others. Additionally, the album-art collection of Michael Lavin is featured on the guest wall.
Opening reception takes place First Friday February 2 from 6-8pm with live music by Greg Neff. Located at 177 Front Street in Owego, Carol’s is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 7am-5pm, Thursday 7am-8:30pm (open mic), Saturday 8am-6pm, and Sunday 9am-4pm.
