BEAUTIFUL PICTURES AT BU ART MUSEUM
Internationally known award-winning photographer, lecturer, and travel journalist Peter Guttman (’76) kicks off the BU winter calendar with an exhibition of his work. Author of eight books, he has traveled to more than 230 countries on seven continents and mounted solo shows at Sotheby's and the United Nations. His 2012 bestselling travel app, Beautiful Planet HD, was named one of eight outstanding educational apps by NBC News, and can been seen projected in the Main Gallery. Additionally, the lower galleries feature Peter Guttman: Collection as a Self Portrait, exploring how his collections wed his world travels with a sense of self.
The show closes March 1 with a 1:20pm concert by the music department featuring original music inspired by the exhibit. The museum is located in the Fine Arts Building on the BU campus at 4400 Vestal Parkway East in Binghamton. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday from 12-4pm and Thursday from 12-7pm/closed whenever the university is closed. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
