STATE STREET SPEAKEASY: 205 DRY
Something fancy is happening Downtown, and for all our fetishizing of the 1920s, it’s about time. While it is by no means Binghamton’s first speakeasy, 205 Dry may be the first one to open post-prohibition. We’re seeing lots of antiquated books, leather upholstery, and brocade wallpaper. And, because it is Binghamton, they have a burger on the menu. We’re hoping for some delicately flavored cocktails and live jazz (hint, hint).
